CERT-In warned that attackers spread harmful VBScript files to WhatsApp Web and Desktop users through private chats, sent from previously hijacked accounts so they look like they come from trusted contacts.
What to do: Do not open attachments you were not expecting, even from people you know. Confirm with the sender by call or message.
